Oh My Word
I am still putting in the default codes at the moment but several things on the layout codes posted (like the title) do not appear to be correct...
My next post will be once I have all the posted code changes on the initial setup in place...

Re: Oh My Word
Okay, language set, layout, css and html are now in place.
Time to start trying to fix/finish the skin...
01. Why isn't the "Winter... part of the..." layout correct? I know I copied the code correctly... or did I?

Re: Oh My Word
Okay... The Autumn Skin used a different method of placing the title up top. The Halloween code fixed that.

Re: Oh My Word
Hi Rick,
This Winter skin was based more closely on the Autumn skin from what I recall. I went way overboard on the Halloween one. We wanted to come up with a more standard template to make the changes easier.
Shirl - Do you want to stay with the general background and birch/wreath framework? How are the animations of snow working out on other computers and browsers?
I think I started making a new set of buttons in shades of blue way back when. I'll look through my stuff tonight. I know I haven't started anything yet on the reply area buttons.
lol - the pumpkins have to go. Ideas?

Re: Oh My Word
Hi Skokey,
I originally had this idea for the "New" message pic to replace the pumpkin:
or
On reflection though I think one of those would be better for the "Old" message pic.
Those red berries in the wreath might be better for "New" messages don't you think?

Re: Oh My Word
Oh, it looks fabulous so far! I love the birch framework with the wreaths and the berries add just that pop of red. Not sure about the snow yet, but I will get feeback from a few of my Mods and see what they think.
I like the idea of a basic format and being able just tweak the CSS and HTML codes for different themes. That really helps those of us who are not coders to be able to use the skins.
Thanks again for everything you guys do for us! It's really very much appreciated!

Re: Oh My Word
Shirl - Hi there, I hope to get more done today but I have to leave for work in about 15 minutes so it will be tonight before I start making more changes...
Skokey - I created a basic button set graphic. I tried for the "pearl" effect on the buttons but didn't get even close...

Re: Oh My Word
The snowflake makes sense. To keep the theme similar to the other boards, a dark blue silhouette for NO NEW and maybe a spinning version of what you have now for NEW posts.
